So... Yeah it always happens. Once the inventory gets sorted, I can't find anything to wear. >.< So... I was determined that when I bought the new Maitreya "Devi" boots I would find something to wear with them that I already owned, rather than just buying new clothes to wear with them!

The boots are awesome. The exact quality you would expect from Maitreya. So what could I ever find to wear with these? Outfit after outfit...

Then I found it. This jacket from Coco that I got at the 70% off sale... way back when. Just sitting there, never worn. And a skirt, an old OoEas! skirt that I found floating around.

Sometimes going through the closet isn't all that bad!

Yeah I got all my clothing sorted. Which means that I have nothing to wear. Funny how that works. Well I fixed the problem with a stop at Maitreya. I just love the mesh there. All off it.

The bird print pencil skirt is so gorgeous. I hope they come out with solid colors like the dresses. I'd have to have them all! The shape is perfect, the fit is one of the best for me (individual results will vary with mesh) of all the mesh released right now. And the scoop back sweater is so classic, simple and elegant. Thank you Maitreya!

Have you been on this hunt? Loads of cool items. It ends on the 6th January, but worth it! Each hunt item is 10L and most of the items are much better quality that the usual hunt fare. I couldn't resist showing off this gown from Donna Flora, and while it may not be a traditional Christmas gown, it's perfect for any formal occasion over the holiday season. This gown has no flexi skirt, it comes instead with an alpha that removes your legs! It's gorgeous on, and I will be wearing this one again!

The skin is from Glam Affair and is part of the Limited Couture event! If you haven't been, each designers offerings are limited to 150 copies. A really cool thing, and unlike similar events in the past, I have noticed that the prices for the items seemed really reasonable, especially for limited items. Definitely a cool thing to check out.

You can not deny the power of a free gown. That's right ladies, this is a gorgeous Christmas group gift from Ladies Who Lunch. This is a holiday version of the Angel gown, and if you love feathers, you will go nuts over this gown! Eva blogged this gown a few weeks ago in red. It has quite a few parts that arent shown including pieces of feather that cover the entire corset and a feather shrug. The corset itself is mesh and only comes in one size, so this is a great way to try it on and see how it fits before buying a full price model.

Joie said something about posting our Ice Queen fashion show outfits here, and far be it from me to refuse! ~grins~

My first gown was from PurpleMoon, and the feel and flow of it are amazing! With it, I wore Glam Affair's Gio skin, Show from Elikatira, and Earthstone's gorgeous Icicle set, which you can get at Collabor88 for the rest of the month. Et voila!

All I have to say is, "eeeeeeeeeeeeee, feathers!" Joie unknowingly focused on one of my obsessions, for both my looks in this show!

Speaking of my second look, this Donna Flora gown absolutely took my breath away. It's delicate, and powerful, all at the same time. This time a Paige skin from Illusory made an appearance, along with Elikatira's Leah, earrings from Je Suis, and a gorgeous Alienbear tiara. The nails are Mandala, of course, I think anyone who reads this blog has them now. :P

This was an amazing show to do, in large part because of the wonderful ladies who were involved. Joie, thank you so much for putting together this work of art. Can't wait for the next one!

Mesh is getting better...

I have been a big fan and follower of the creations of Lelutka now for many years, and I was really excited when they sent a notice about a new brand, new sim, new store all with a focus on creations using mesh.

Celoe is the new brand, and I have to say unlike other creators who rushed to get their mesh products out there. I am really impressed with the quality of Celoes products, the textures are amazing, the details are precise.

Celoe, opened a temporary store this past week on the Lelutka sim which is showcasing it's products along with some new mesh items from another favourite of mine, Mon Tissu.

All clothing here is from Celoe and Mon Tissu, hair is by Lelutka.

For those who cannot see me in the full in Second Life and are wondering what the fuss about mesh is.... well it's here to stay and I am loving it!

I have your attention now don't I? If you are not a believer in the goodness that is Mesh... These boots from Slink will have you singing the praises with an Amen and a Hallelujah. Really. They are that good. As I have said over and over... "These boots are like sex." I look for things to wear *with* them.

As with all things mesh... they can be a little tricky. They come in 8 different sizes. They are no modify, so be careful to try on the demo. The quality on these is fantastic, and the fatpack is a great deal too!

The way mesh moves and bends with the AV is really cool, and hopefully in the next 6 months or so, we will see a great improvement in fits, styles and availability!

We were talking about the new mesh avatars from Coco in the courtyard earlier today so I thought I'd do a post.

Coco Designs has a new mesh project out call DollCoco. The bodies are free in your choice of milk or dark. There are a variety of heads available for 450 each and other clothes and accessories.

I must say it is very cool to see mesh clothes on mesh avatars. However you cannot customize anything, which really does stifle the creativity.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts! Fyi, the body is free in milk or dark and there is also a free mesh 'doll' dress available to DollCoco group members.

So I went to Collabor88 the other day and bought a bunch of cute items. The deal is that everything is 88L. Loads of stores participate.

I've never really worn nails in SL before, but the new HUD from Mandala has changed that. It is so easy to use and comes with 70 colours and a range of shapes and sizes. You can even have different colours on each finger, hence my choice of purple and black to match my outfit.

I've also discovered a feature on Firestorm (I'm not sure how new this is, perhaps everyone already knows about it) where you can 'copy outfit to clipboard'. This makes it really simple to record what you're wearing. So here all are the details:

As she came out from the backroom in her [LeeZu!] Kiss Sarah Flexi Dress, my heart skipped a beat. This time there was no seeing another woman and her turning into my Lady. This was her… My obsession in the flesh. She smiled and me and remembered me from the coffee shop. I blinked and couldn’t talk. She took the dress and rang it up and looked at me with a soft smirk asking who the dress was for. All I could finally say, with a hoarse whisper was… “It’s for you.”

This is getting bad. I can’t stop thinking about her. Last night as I went out to dinner with friends, the woman taking our reservation was dressed in a [LeeZu!] Kali Flexi Dress. I stammered out the name of our reservation so bad because I thought it was her. My friend had to repeat the name for her before we got seated. I couldn’t turn away and I think I made her a little uncomfortable. It wasn’t until she was walking away I realized it wasn’t her. I ordered a tall glass of medicine after that.

I thought taking in a show might help me take my mind of my mystery woman. So I went to the opera house to enjoy a bit of culture. Halfway through the opening act a woman came out on stage and I lost my breath. Her beauty was stunning in her [LeeZu!] NOiR Papillon De Nuit Dress. I had to get up; I had to get out of there! My first thought was to run to the stage and beg for her name. To find out the name of this beautiful woman that tormented me so. I was leaning against the wall outside when I read the opera poster. There was no way this was her. It didn’t even look like her. But I could have sworn it was.

My friends had noticed the change in me and dragged me out to the club tonight. I started to relax and let my mind fill with other beautiful women. I was enjoying a drink at the bar when my friend came up and wanted to introduce me to the girl he had been hitting on. I turned around and luckily didn’t scream but I did drop my beer. I just told him I needed air. I didn’t return, just went straight home.

I’m starting to see her everywhere now. I can’t escape this… this obsession. I have to see her and when I don’t, I swear I do. I was able to make it through the gathering but every time I saw my co-worker all I could see was her laughing and dancing as if to torment my desire at every turn. I couldn’t help but watch her all night.

I went for a walk shortly after the gathering to clear my head and found myself down by the park. I drank in the fresh air and enjoyed the coolness of the night air. I felt the bench creak and peeked at who sat down. My eyes grew wide as a woman sat down and adjusted her heel; her friend waiting on her calling her name. She wore a, [LeeZu] Baxter NOIR Mina Flexi Dress, and I watched her beautiful form change into the captivating eyes of my mystery woman.

Fate played its had fully that evening, for as I came around the corner I bumped into the street barker for the store that all those outfits had come from. My first thought was to run. Just run as far away as I could as here this woman in a, [LeeZu!] Ginkgo Flexi Dress. She beckoned me to come inside and have a look. In case I wanted to buy something for the wife or girlfriend. I know it wasn’t her but this time I let it be.

I first laid eyes on her walking down the street just window shopping as I waited for a cab. I was so shocked I didn’t even notice when someone stole my cab. I just stared at her as she walked right on by, in her [LeeZu!] Izabelle Blouse and [LeeZu!] Glitter Hotpants. I’m not sure she even noticed me, but I definitely noticed her. It was then, as I look back, that I came under her spell.

I tried to put her out of my mind. I continued to work and took cabs from the corner home. It wasn’t until I saw her again, that I realized I had been catching the cab from the same corner I had seen her at the first time. She blew my mind away this time. I tried to not stare glancing at her constantly as she passed by again, in her [LeeZu!] Arabesque Blouse and [LeeZu!] Florentine High Heel Pants. I turned away quickly as I saw her hair flow to the side as she looked around. Wait was she glancing at me?

Something is starting to happen to me. I couldn’t eat lunch today and kept looking at the clock. I’m not sure what is with me lately. I use to be able to stay at work all night if I wanted. Now when its quitting time, I’m like the first out of the door, walking slowly to my corner to catch my cab home. It was almost a week before I saw her again. When I did my mouth fell open and it took a force of will to turn away. She was in a [LeeZu!] Catch Lily Dress, the colors brought out her eyes and lips in a way that seemed angelic. For a moment I saw only her; in the mass of people on the street.

I had thankfully been able to stop catching a cab at my corner. This was getting a little too much for me. I started getting a coffee to take home and walked after work to the shop one block over for it. It kept me from just standing on the corner like a stalker waiting for her. That is until one day as I got my coffee, someone bumped into me and giggling at my balancing act to not spill any. My eyes locked onto the deep pools of hers. I could only make a grin and some non human squeak as she let loose a smile on me in her, [LeeZu!] Paradii Dress. She apologized and went on her way. I stood there for probably ten minutes just watching her walk away.

I couldn’t get away from her. I tried! I changed my habits; I began to take the bus. Nothing worked somehow; someway she would appear after a while. This last time I know she dressed just for me. As I was getting off the bus for work she was standing there getting on. This time I just stood and gawked at her. She was in a [LeeZu!] Venus Jacket and [LeeZu!] Madison Pants. She was just getting on the bus and turned toward me. Her eyes drifted across mine for a moment, stopped as if she knew me then was gone. When I was able to move again the bus had just pulled away, and once again I was standing on the sidewalk like a deer in headlights.

Thank god I had to attend a conference uptown today. I knew at least today I would not be distracted or surprised by this woman. I really can’t seem to control myself anymore. I went back to my old habits. Besides I don’t stay for work late anymore. Now I just hang out on the street for an hour just hoping she will go by. Today will be fine though, at least I thought it would be. Our guest speaker was her! I excused myself as quick as I could but not before I was set to almost drooling as I saw her take the podium in her, [LeeZu!] Tamara Pantsuit. I had to catch my breath outside and you don’t want to know how long that took.
